Giving Thanks

I haven't had much to write about lately and I'm not sure why. I've been really busy, so that could be one thing. In the past week, I've fallen asleep on the couch or in the recliner at 9:30 pm on three different occasions. It will probably happen tonight, too. The bummer about that is that I wake up before 5:00 am and can't go back to sleep. But when I want to get up at 5:30 and go running before work, waking up early is not such a bad thing.

I went to Hannah's Detox and Recharge workshop at Castle Hill on Saturday. I've done that three times now and haven't been disappointed once. I was really sore this time and I don't remember that happening the last two times. My quads were on fire the next day. Hannah said maybe it's because I'm squeezing my leg muscles more than I used to...something she taught me to do. I'm a fairly flexible person, so I've really tried to focus my practice on muscular energy more than flexibility. I was thinking about how much my practice has changed since I first began almost four years ago. It's actually always changing and I think that's good because it's easy to get stuck in your yoga practice. It's sort of like a metaphor for life. Well, that's my insightful thought for the month. Enjoy.

Oh, and I'm super excited about Thanksgiving. I'll be headed home next week and I honestly can't wait!
